The Eket Development Congress (EDC) – Washington, DC Chapter is a community-driven organization dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders from Eket and Esit-Eket Local Government Areas of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
We believe that access to quality education is a powerful tool for individual transformation and community development. Through our Educational Scholarship Program, we provide financial support to deserving students enrolled in accredited public universities in Akwa Ibom and Cross River States, pursuing studies in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), Medicine, and Law.
“Our goal is simple: to ensure that no brilliant student is denied a future because of finances. Every time we receive a thank-you letter from a scholar, it reaffirms our commitment to keep expanding this effort.”
Our mission is to bridge the gap between potential and opportunity by supporting bright, committed students who lack the financial means to complete their education. By investing in these young minds, we are investing in the future of Eket and Esit-Eket—nurturing a generation of innovators, legal advocates, and medical professionals who will contribute meaningfully to the growth of their communities and Nigeria at large.
