Scholarship Program & Benefits

Empowering Minds. Transforming Communities.

The Eket Development Congress (EDC) – Washington, DC Chapter Scholarship Program is designed to provide financial assistance and academic support to outstanding students from Eket and Esit-Eket Local Government Areas who are pursuing higher education in critical fields at public universities in Akwa Ibom and Cross River States.

We recognize that education is a pathway to lasting change. By supporting bright, deserving students who face financial obstacles, we aim to build a strong foundation of future leaders, innovators, and professionals who will contribute meaningfully to their communities and beyond.

  • Students currently enrolled full-time in public universities within Akwa Ibom or Cross River States.
  • Students pursuing degrees in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), Medicine, or Law—fields essential to community and national development.

This focus ensures that the scholarship reaches those who can make the greatest impact in areas that drive progress, justice, innovation, and improved quality of life.
